Day Two…I Hurt

I was hiking by 7:30 this morning, hoping to get some miles in before it got too hot.  I am hiking with Julian, a 42 year old Scotsman who has lived in St Martin for 20 years.  He’s a sailor, chef, and dive instructor.  Our pace is similar…slow.

We made only 12 miles today and I hurt a bit.  Feet and legs just a bit sore as expected.  Unexpected, pain in my right knee today.  Not sure what it is but it really hurts going downhill.  For now, I am taking aspirin and hoping to just walk it off.

The mountains here are beautiful and weather has been a bit warm but nice.  Currently camped on Blackrock Mtn at a spot with a view.
